The bibliography needs to be arranged alphabetically by author surname, so always reverse the name of the first editor in the bibliography reference. Where you are citing two works by the same author which were published in the same year, these should be labelled with 'a', 'b', 'c' and so on directly after the year. The name of an editor or translator follows the title. The advice above is based on the current MHRA Style Guide.
When you insert a footnote in Word it adds a number in superscript1 in the text and creates a corresponding footnote at the bottom of the page. It is stylistically very similar to MLA referencing, but with a few critical differences. Available from:
